For lots of people, the term “water sports” conjures up images of boats, wakeboards, water skis, wakeskates, and a number of other high-speed, gas-powered, adrenaline-pumping pastimes. I’ve had my share of good times behind a boat, but out here in Moab—where water is precious and the scenery is amazing—I prefer the more natural brand of water sports. Five Trips You’ll Love if You Like Gooseberry Mesa

Posted by Mark Sevenoff on Mar 10, 2016 7:00:00 PM
The Goose is one of our longest running and most popular mountain biking trips. The trails in Gooseberry Mesa were created over 20 years ago, and are heralded as some of the most well-maintained in the country. They are proof that a strong community with shared values can have a meaningful impact. We lead about nine trips to the mesa every summer to explore the mix of slickrock and singletrack, just south of Zion National Park. If you’ve checked out the Goose and are ready for something new, here’s a list of some of our other favorites.

Fruita Singletrack

Like Gooseberry Mesa, Fruita, Colorado’s trail system is a testament to the strength and dedication of the mountain biking community. Fruita’s trails are the product of a collaborative effort between the Bureau of Land Management, Over the Edge Sports, and local cycling enthusiasts. Sandstone, slickrock, twists, and turns come together into one of the most fun mountain bike destinations around. It’s truly a must-ride for any singletrack veteran.
